5) Thoroughly review the Terms & Conditions to verify you are compliant. Click the checkbox and hit “save”.
6) Landing page approval
From the Trafficvance FAQ…
How long does it take for my targets to get approved?
This is where our staff really shines. We typically approve targets and new distination pages every hour during the business day, at night, and during the weekends. If you need this process expedited, simply send your account manager a short email and they will have your approval completed right away. The Trafficvance team prides itself on having the fastest turnaround time in the business.

2) To edit campaign setting select the checkbox next to the campaign and select “edit”.

3) To edit creative settings click on the campaign name, select the checkbox for the creative you want to edit, and click “edit”.

4) To edit your keywords/targets click on the creative name, select the checkbox and select “edit” to resume/pause/delete. Adjust the “Max Bid” by clicking the cell in that column. To adjust the format of the report click the down arrow on any column header to sort or click “columns” to toggle visibility of individual columns on and off.

Reporting
1) To access the reporting function click “Reports” and “Main Report”.

2) Click the first box at the top left to select the given time period you want reporting on.
– Summary will give you cumulative total for the given time period for the campaign/creative/keywords you choose.
– Discrete allows you to see the average of whatever time period you choose by the hour. Not to be confused with the word “discreet” which means careful or intentionally unobtrusive. For instance, choose “discrete” with a time period of “last week” for whatever campaign/creative/keyword you select and you will get a report showing the average by hour for the given criteria based on data from the last week.
– Daily/Monthly/Hourly are kind of self explanatory.

RTX Platform (Formerly 50onRed) Pop Traffic
50onred is another source for pop traffic you should check out. This lesson will give you the information you need to get started.
50onRed doesn’t share exactly where they get their pop traffic from, but it’s from toolbar installs (Games, weather, etc.). Here are some quick facts:
Pop Type: Pop-up/over
Pop Size: New Browser Tab
Minimum Deposit: $500

Location Targeting
You can target specific cities and/or states which opens up many possibilities for creative campaigns, and even local marketing.
Tracking & Macros
To track keyword, you can use the {target} macro. They also have the following:
- {bid}
- {country}
- {domain}
- {domain_id}
- {campaign_id}
- {click_id}
These can be useful in some situations, but most people will just want to track {target}.
What can’t you promote?
- Downloadable products (i.e. Toolbars, Adware, Malware, Anti-Spyware, Scare-ware)
- Tobacco (or e-cig) or alcohol advertisements targeting the United States (International targeting is fine, but only where legally allowed.)
- Gambling Offers (Limited international exceptions apply.) Only browser-based casinos are permitted. Casinos with a download option are not allowed.
- Landing pages that spawn pop-up windows
- Advertorials in US & CA regions
Campaign Setup
1. Click new campaign
Set the name, start/end date, timezone and status.
New campaigns are set to the US by default. You can change this by selecting ‘Custom geographic targets’ and selecting what you want to target. I recommend setting up a separate campaign for each country you want to target.

Set your default CPV bid (I recommend bidding the minimum), your daily and total budget. For a new campaign, I usually set it low for the first day ($10 or so) just to make sure everything’s set up properly.
Set your impressions. When I first start a campaign I set this to 1/12-24. I set my dayparting to ‘always run’ for at least several weeks and several hundred conversions.
There’s an area to set your conversion pixel, but I don’t use this.
There’s an area to set your conversion pixel, but I don’t use this.
The next screen is where you add your creatives. Click ‘add creative’ and enter the creative name, and your destination (tracking) url.

This is where you select popover or popunder. The difference is your creative will pop up over the users browser window or under the browser window. I normally start off with popover, but it’s interesting to split test this. Some campaigns will do better with one vs the other. Click save and agree to the terms.
To add targets, click the ‘targets’ tab and choose to add keywords or urls (you can do both). Here’s how keyword matching works:
Keywords you enter will match on the whole URL. For example, providing example keyword will match on all of the following: keyword-example.com, example.keyword.com, example.com/what-is-a-keyword, 50onred.com/examples-of-keywords, etc. example keyword would NOT match on example.com, keyword.com, key.com/word, etc. because both words don’t appear.

Domain matching works like this:
Domains you enter will match on all subdomains. For example, providing example.com will also match www.example.com and mail.example.com, but providing www.example.comwill not match on example.com.
The target suggestion tool on the right is worth using. Most of the suggestions are obvious, but it gives you an idea what types of domains and keywords get traffic. I’ll be posting a top target list for 50onRed soon.

After adding targets, you’re all set.
Ok, so what works on 50onRed?
Test everything! I know that’s a generic answer, but there really isn’t one magical niche that works better than others. Just like Traffic Vance or Lead Impact, a variety of niches and offer types can do great here.
Hopefully this will give you enough to get started. I’ll be posting some case studies, and other tips for 50onRed soon but don’t let that stop you from testing it now!
Zero Park
Zero Park now has PPV traffic that’s worth testing out. This lesson will show you how to set up a campaign there.
Min Deposit $200
You should be following the PPV campaign building guide here PPV Campaign Building Initial Phase
First, click new campaign and choose ‘Premium PPV’

On the next screen, you have a few options but the one people should start with is ‘target’. If you want to explore more options, I would next try the ‘keyword’ option. RON traffic should be saved for when you have a big testing budget.

On the next screen is where you’ll enter campaign information

Set your campaign name to something easy to remember. I like to do country + offer name
Set the country based on the offer you’re promoting
Set your bid low to start. ZeroPark works on an average bidding system which means you can still pay more than your default bid (on an individual target basis), but your overall/average bid will never exceed the value you enter.
Set your daily budget low to start out, just to make sure everything is tracking correctly, etc. You can always raise it later.
ZeroPark lets you filter traffic by desktop/mobile. If you’re just starting out, I suggest doing desktop only. If you do mobile, make sure the offer page displays properly on mobile devices, or choose a mobile offer. You can also choose to get traffic only from specific browsers, and operating systems. This is a cool feature if you take the time to use it. Some offers don’t work well (although technically they all should) in all browsers, so if you want you can check the offer you’re promoting in different browsers.
The default frequency cap is 1 hour. I suggest setting it to 12-24 hours.
You can choose to turn adult traffic on/off. This is useful if you’re promoting a dating offer that specifically forbids adult traffic.
You have the option to day part, but I don’t recommend doing this until you have several weeks worth of data (and preferable several hundred conversions across that time).
The destination URL is where your campaign url goes (the one you get from your tracking tool). The tokens you can use are displayed below. The one you want for a standard PPV campaign setup like I’ve outlined here is {target_url}.
You can use their conversion tracking, but I recommend sticking with a tracking tool (Prosper, CPV Lab, Voluum, etc.).
You can find their guidelines/what is allowed here https://zeropark.com/kw/guidelines.html. One interesting thing from their guidelines:

There goes half my ideas for campaigns

I hope this lesson helps you guys start testing pop traffic on ZeroPark. Let me know if you have any questions!
Rapsio is the new network I mentioned in this case study. I started running with them several months ago and I’ve had great success. Their volume is down significantly compared to TV, LI, and 50 but the quality is comparable so it makes it kind of a no-brainer if you have existing profitable campaigns and a budget to scale.
Pop Type: Opens new tab in front of the user’s current tab.
Pop Size: Full browser size.
Minimum Deposit: $1,000
Funding Terms: Autopay $500 when your balance reaches zero.
International Funding: No additional deposit required

Frankly, I think the minimum deposit is steep and autopay is a nuisance but every network has pros and cons. I spoke with my rep about this and he agreed that they would work with people on the funding terms. Not exactly sure what that means specifically, but I encourage you to reach out to these guys if needed. They are very helpful and collaborative in their work style. Customer service is really where Rapsio excels and you should take advantage of it.
Targeting
From Rapsio FAQ…
From Rapsio FAQ…
This dialog box is for domains that you want to target. Additionally, keywords (single word targets) go here. These targets will trigger ads when there is a match in the URL string of a user. -Example- If you enter and target SHOES then a user on Amazon.com/shopping/clothing/shoes-adias will trigger an ad based on the target SHOES. This applies to all non search engine URLS.
Prefixes to domains such as: www, http, etc will be ignored and will not populate results. Only the root domain is needed (Amazon.com, for example). This is not case sensitive.

This dialog box is for domains that you want to block. Blocking domains will ensure that your campaigns do not serve ads on the specific domains that you choose (this is not case sensitive).

***Note from Joe: The domain blacklist is great for RON traffic but it also works like the negative targeting option on 50onRed where if you’re targeting “cnn.com” you can blacklist “money” so you won’t be targeting “money.cnn.com” or “cnn.com/money.html”.
Does Rapsio offer Run of Network Traffic? Yes. To enable Run of Network (R.O.N) traffic, do not enter keywords or domains for targeting. Choosing zero targets will default to R.O.N traffic. When choosing R.O.N you are able to add domains to the blacklist tool.
Is there a need for wild cards? There is no need for WILDCARDS in the search query list. In fact, if you include WILDCARDS, your targets will NOT get traffic. Do not load targets with *,&,%,+ or any other iteration.
Tracking & Macros
Can I track conversions? Please use this MACRO to pass the referring keyword or targeted domain. [-[MATCHED]-] Please use this MACRO to pass the referring domain through the URL. What are the compliance rules when running campaigns with Rapsio? Rapsio aims to provide a high quality advertiser experience and a beneficial user experience. Keeping our application users happy is the key to long term success for your campaigns as well as Rapsio’s business.
Here is a list of or compliance rules:
– No adult ads or targeting adult targets.
– No downloads
– No gambling in the USA
– Ads may not lock the browser
– Copyrighted and trademarked assets are not allowed to appear in the ad without the express written authorization of the legally recognized owner of the asset.
– No anti-virus or registry cleaner advertisements allowed.
– No adult ads or targeting adult targets.

– Copyrighted and trademarked assets are not allowed to appear in the ad without the express written authorization of the legally recognized owner of the asset.
– No anti-virus or registry cleaner advertisements allowed.
***Note from Joe: Do you allow rotating landing pages? Yes, when the campaign is created you can create multiple landing pages in rotation and they will review them all for compliance. If you make significant landing page changes after the initial approval they ask that you work with your rep to verify the new LP(s) are within the rules. They do have a 24/7 compliance team that is constantly checking LP’s so I wouldn’t try any funny business

How long is the campaign approval process? Your ad will be reviewed within 24 hours or one business day of submission. Once the ad is approved you will immediately start seeing traffic. Be certain to set your campaigns to Inactive if you do not want to immediately receive traffic.
Budgets & Bidding
What is the minimum cap I can set on a campaign? A minimum of $50 per day per campaign is the floor cap. This does NOT require that your campaign spends $50 per day.

Let me know if you have any questions…
Last week there was a question or two on popads and it seemed APB was lacking an overview for the platform so I made this 30 minute long video. Did not intend for it to be this long but it covers currently live campaigns and how I optimize them as well as your targeting options inside of Popads.
I won’t claim this is the greatest pop traffic but it’s traffic that can and does convert for me so well worth a test. I’ve actually used popads in the past to help prove offers convert before taking them to other traffic sources like leadimpact, trafficvance and 50onred. This was simply because I find the traffic on popads to be cheap in lot’s of geos.
The UBER long video that you can fast forward through if you like
